Susan B. Anthony Dollar

        Susan B. Anthony Dollar

SBA Dollar

Susan B. Anthony was the first woman to be honored by having her likeness appear on a circulating United States coin. In 1978, President Jimmy Carter signed the Susan B. Anthony Dollar Coin Act into law (Public Law 95-447). This law amended the Coinage Act of 1965, changing the size, weight, and design of the one-dollar coin. On July 2, 1979, the U. S. Mint officially released the Susan B. Anthony coin in Rochester, NY, the home of Susan B. Anthony during the most politically active years of her life. In 1979, 757,813,744 coins were produced.

Additional coins were dated 1980, 1981 (numanistic items only), and 1999.
Ultimately, the United States Mint produced 888,842,452 Susan B. Anthony coins for circulation.

In 1997, Congress passed the United States $1 Coin Act (Public Law 104-124, Sec. 4), replacing the Susan B. Anthony dollar with the golden dollar coin. The golden color of this new coin, combined with a smoother edge and wider border, helps to more easily differentiate it from a quarter. The act also authorized the Secretary of Treasury to continue to mint Susan B. Anthony coins until such time as the production of new golden coins was ready.

In 1999, the final 41,368,000 Susan B. Anthony coins were minted. The coins continue in circulation today.

Meatball sub on a stick

#sharingquickrecipes

It's another keeper for the picky teen boys list!!!

Meatball Sub on a Stick

Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground turkey
1/2 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp dried Oregano
1 Tbsp dried Basil
1 Tbsp dried Parsley or 1/4 cup fresh chopped
1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can Pillsbury Original breadsticks
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
12 (10"-12") wooden skewers
Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°
Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
In bowl combine ground turkey, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Oregano, Basil, Parsley, red pepper flakes and garlic. Form into 1 inch meatballs.
Open can of breadsticks and starting with one breadstick at a time thread dough then meatball. Repeat the process with 2 more meatballs alternating dough-meatball, ending with dough. Make sure to spread dough and meatballs away from each other by about 1/4", so the meatballs bake through and the dough has room to expand.
Bake for 20 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through. Remove from oven and sprinkle each skewer with 1-2 Tbsp of shredded mozzarella cheese. Place back in oven for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
Serve immediately with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Nicknames the movie Produced by Saladin Newark

I went to see Nicknames the movie Produced by Saladin Newark Directed by Will Green of Foundation Digital at the Citiplex Theater in Newark, NJ.

The movie itself follows the lives of inner city youth and addresses issues that adolescents and adults face day to day and time and time again, such as self-sabotage, sensuality, violence, drugs, peer pressure, reckless decisions, miscommunication and the right way to do things, multi-cultural differences and bullying.

The movie moves fast without losing you and the messages that each character has is thought provoking. I LOVED the multi-ethnic casting and each character of the cast members did an excellent job.

It was funny, sad, empowering, celebratory and healing.I walked away feeling fulfilled unlike an action thriller where you want more of it I was satisfied LOVED the story line and the message being portrayed all the way to the end. I was totally immersed into the story and I believe that it should be in EVERY school. This is a must see movie for sure!

UnMuted Ink gives it 5 mics!!! CONGRATZ!!!

Virgo

VIRGO -
The One that Waits (August 23 to September 22)
Dominant in relationships. Someone loves them right now. Always wants the last word. Caring. Smart. Loud. Loyal. Easy to talk to. Everything you ever wanted. Easy to please. A pushover. Loves to gamble and take chances. Needs to have the last say in everything. They think they know everything and usually do. Respectful to others but you will quickly lose their respect if you do something untrustworthy towards them and never regain respect. They do not forgive and never forget. The one and only.

giving and getting advice

Someone asked me who I go to for advice
my answer was this: I usually don't need advice but when I do
I ask people who know what they're talking about
I'm specific with my questions
I ask people who have something i want
or are doing something I aspire to achieve

I personally don't take advice from people who are STILL learning
WHY?? Because I refuse to become their guinea pigs
I refuse to allow others to implant seeds out helplessness in me
know the difference between ideas/ suggestions vs advice/ opinions
if I want to build a business
I'm gonna ask someone who has done it already
NOT someone trying simple as that

all that we can learn together stuff is OK in rare occasions
yes there's some things you'll have to learn on your own
but be weary of those still making mistakes being too helpful

Before you ask for support learn how to support
before you ask for help learn how to be of assistance to others
before you declare you need a friend be a real friend
sometimes people will have no use for others
and yet most folks already know how to use others
don't take peoples word for it there are bootleg ways to do things
if that's what you are trying to achieve go for it
but don't look confused when you're not being taken seriously .... nuff said

#DeathCoast by Dashaun Jiwe Morris Got a Review of 5 Mics by Unmuted Ink

at the AMC theatre in Jersey Gardens Elizabeth, NJ
on March 6th 2014

This artist/ actor/director did it!!!
I went to the #DeathCoast premiere and I walked away with all kinds of emotions.
Regardless of whom you are; man, woman or child, you’ll get something positive from it….

Without giving the movie away I will say this….
I LOVED the fact that he cast regular round tha way type females in it,
although you knew about it, he didn’t glorify drugs, hustling or money.
Dependent upon whatever angle you were looking at it from;
You’d still walk away with a renewed sense of hope for change.
…Realizing that the power is within all of us to WANT it….
one phone call started it and one phone call ended it.

He masterfully showed parents WHY it can happen,
he blatantly showed gang members HOW these things could happen
and then went further to show the audience a simple METHOD
despite pain and ego how it could be toned down or stopped.

All of the emotions were there from love, frustration, confusion, loyalty,
revenge, consciousness, advice, conflict resolution etc.

This was not in the least about glorifying the lifestyle of gang members;
the fact of the matter is this: he carefully depicted where he was in his past,
with a petition to those who can make a difference to look in the mirror
and if you don’t like what you see;
then do your part as a member of your own community to make it better…

Dashaun Jiwe Morris is someone you need to keep your eye on
as not an up and coming but rather, someone who is not going to stop here and just go away,
He is someone who is going to keep it very real…
I see great things for this young man’s future which also inspires others in similar situations
to do what you have to do but also look for better ways to handle situations as essential life skills.

To Sum it up, this isn’t just a movie…
this is a documentary, this is an every hood USA biography
that needs to be in EVERY ONES library catalog.
You literally could not tell this was a low budget non backed movie
and I kept thinking…. DAMMN Imagine if it were WOW!!
DVD now available. THIS IS A MUST HAVE!
